PROFILE OF MR. MUHAMMED BABA IBRAHIM,
FCIT, FIMC, FCA, AMNIM

Mr. Muhammed Baba Ibrahim an indigene of Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, was born on 25th November, 1982. He had his elementary education between 1988 and 1994 at LGEA Primary School, Kulende, Ilorin. He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Ilorin, between 1994 and 2000.
He was at the Better By Far University (University of Ilorin) where he bagged a Bachelor Degree in Accounting year ………… and in 2015, he obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration from the same University.
In order to sustain his tempo for learning, Muhammed returned to Kwara State University, Malete for another Master Degree in Accounting, a programme he is currently pursuing.
Mr. Muhammed has attended several conferences organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC) and an Associate Member Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), Certified Forensic and Investigation Professional (CFIP).
Mr. Muhammed began his working career in 2005 at Manyan Gobe School, Gombe, Gombe State during his National Youth Service. Between 2006 and 2008, he was at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ilorin, as Accountant II and in March, 2008, he was moved to Expenditure Control Unit at the Office of the Accountant-General, Kwara State. From January to June 2010, he was an Assistant Controller of Finance and Accounts at Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board and from June, 2010 to August 2016, he was the controller of Finance and Accounts, Kwara State Housing Corporation.
Mr. Muhammed was appointed as the Pioneer Bursar, Kwara State College of Nursing, Oke-Ode between August, 2016 and June, 2020. He was also the Controller of Finance and Accounts Governor’s Office, Ilorin and Chief Accountant Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency.
Mr. Muhammed has also served his community in various capacities such as a member representing Kwara North Senatorial District at the Nigerian Youths Parliament, Treasurer, Lafiagi Descendants Development Union (LADDU), Ilorin Branch and National Treasurer, Lafiagi Descendants Development Union.
He has received various awards which include best student in Mathematics, Government Secondary School, Ilorin, (2000), Award of Excellence, Kulende Youths Forum (2012) and Award of Excellence, Golden Star Football Academy (2014).
Mr. Muhammed Baba Ibrahim, the current Bursar, Kwara State Polytechnic, likes meeting people, critical thinking, reading and learning. He is happily married with children.
