Mr. Salami Musa Olanrewaju was born on September 28, 1958 in Share, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He started his early education at UMCA Primary School, Share between 1967and 1972. In 1973, he proceeded to Anglican College of Commerce, Offa for his Secondary Education.

He attended Kwara State College of Technology now Kwara State Polytechnic between 1978 to 1979.Between1982 to 1985, he was at the University of Ibadan for Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. He bagged his Master of Arts at the University of Ilorin in 1990.
He enrolled for post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration at the Kwara State Polytechnic between 1983 and 1984. He bagged his Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from this institution in 1996.
Mr. M.O. Salami's working career started at the Institute of Church and Society, Jos, Plateau State in 1985 when he was employed as an Administrative Officer.
In 1987, he joined the service of Kwara State Polytechnic as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies.

He has served the institution in various capacities such as Establishment Secretary (Junior Staff) between 1994 to 1996, Public Relations Officer, 1996 to 1997, Admissions Officer, 1996 to 1997, Secretary Institute of Basic and Applied Sciences (IBAS) 1997 to 1999, Establishment Secretary, 1999 to 2003. Academic Affairs Secretary, 2003 to 2008. He rose to the Position of Acting Registrar in 2008.
Pastor Salami as is fondly called by his admires has been contributing to the spread of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in various capacities, such as Chairman, Programme committee, Deeper Life Bible Church, Ilorin, Patron, Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, Kwara Poly Chapter, Chairman Marriage Committee, Deeper Life Bible Church, Amilegbe, among others.
In his attempt to give back to the Community and help in reducing poverty in the country, pastor Salami has served as Chairman, Ebenezer Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Kwara State Polytechnic, Chairman, Like-Mind Agro-Allied Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Kulende Estate, Patron, Shara Students Union, Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, and a host of others.
He is a member of different professional bodies such as Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management, Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, among others.


Mr. Salami has won several awards, such as the Best Student in Bible Knowledge, Aglican College of Commerce, Offa, 1977, Bishop Kale Best graduate of Religious Studies, University of Ibadan, 1985, Best Final Year Student in Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration, Kwara State Polytechnic, 1994, Samuel Oladosu award for the Best Post Graduate Diploma Student in Public Administration, Kwara State Polytechnic, 1994, Merit Award by the National Association of Igbomina Students, Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, among others. His watchwords are humility, obedience and faithfulness. He is married with children.


His hobbies include writing, reading among others.
