Engr. Oyebode rose through ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in October 2nd, 2009. He was appointed Department of Agricultural Engineering Examination Officer, Assistant Chief Examination Officer and Chief Examination Officer for the Institute of Technology. He was appointed Acting Head in 2001 to 2003 and Head in 2004 to 2006 Department of Agricultural Engineering. He was appointed Coordinator for the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering from 2006 to 2008. He became the Director of Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2010 and Director, Quality Assurance from 2013 to 2017. He was appointed the Deputy Rector Academic on the 6th of June to date.
He has served different committees as Member, Institute Journal and Seminar Committee, Institute of Technology, Member, Ceremonies Committee, Member, Library Advisory Committee, Member, Committee on Production of Textbooks and Journals by Staff, Member, Institutional Technical Committee on Campus TV, Documentary Series, Member, Students Registration Committee, Member, Research and Publication Committee, Member, Technical Committee on the Improvement of Technical Colleges in Kwara State, Chairman, Screening Committee for CPGS Students, Member, Committee on Dress Code, Chairman, Technical/Implementation Committee on Technological Innovation and Development Centre and Member, Staff Orientation and Development.

During his tenure as Director of Institute of Technology, he successfully organized the First and Second National Conference for the Institute in 2009 and 2010. He has over 30 published and presented papers for publications and conferences and three textbooks.
