SHUN SOCIAL VICES, BE DISCIPLINED_ STUDENTS URGED

A call has gone to Students of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, to be disciplined and shun all social vices that could tarnish the Polytechnic image and destroy their future.

The President Rotary Club District 9125 Ilorin, Col. Theophilus Bamigboye made the call while commissioning a billboard erected for the Polytechnic Club Chapter.

Bamigboye disclosed that as leaders of tomorrow and ambassadors of the Polytechnic, the Students must be of good character at all times and obey the rules and regulations of the Polytechnic.

He further appealed to the Management of the Polytechnic to give more attention to Rotary Club in the Polytechnic, saying the Club will help in the fight against cultism and other social vices.

The President also advised the Students to shun cultism, thuggery, exams malpractices amongst others which he described as future destroyers.

Earlier, the Deputy Rector Academic, Engr. Ahmed Ayodele Aminu lauded the Club for her achievements over the years in the country, describing it as an International Club that has been touching lives of individuals, communities and the Nation at large.

Aminu however expressed Polytechnic appreciations to the Club for partnering with it in its fight against social menace in the Community.

He therefore, stressed that the message the billboard passed to the Polytechnic Community will have positive impact on the Students.
