KWARA POLY STUDENT BAGS NYSC PRESIDENT AWARD
A student of Banking and Finance in the Kwara State Polytechnic has been awarded with 2013 NYSC President award to continue with his education up to Doctorate degree free of charge.
Receiving the awardee, Ojetola Akeem in the Polytechnic, the Rector, Alh. Mas`ud Elelu stated that it was the Polytechnic that made him discovered his ability, noting that the academic environment does not only meant for studies but to interact with lecturers and fellow students to discover the hidden gifts and potentials in one.
Elelu however, expressed appreciation to Ojetola Akeem for making Kwara State Polytechnic proud and for being a good ambassador of the Polytechnic.
He therefore called on other Students to emulate the awardee and represent the Polytechnic well anywhere they find themselves.
The Rector also pledged to assist the Awardee whenever the needs arise.
Earlier, the awardee narrated the challenges faced before emerged the over-all winner out of the fifteen contestants in Abia State.
He also thanked the Management for warm reception accorded him and the Department of Banking and Finance Staff for assisting him to discover himself.
The highlight of the occasion involved presentation of medals to all athletes that made Polytechnic proud at NIPOGA Bida and Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed Inauguration 400×2 relays.
